Asphalt, Coke and Heavy Oil MarketingMarathon is one of the U.S.'s largest asphalt producers in terms of capacity. The Company markets asphalt through 22 owned and 11 leased terminals located throughout the Midwest and Southeast that are supplied by five of Marathon's refineries. (Robinson and Texas City do not produce asphalt). The Marathon customer base includes asphalt paving contractors, government entities (states, counties, cities and townships) and asphalt roofing shingle manufacturers. Marathon also markets heavy oil from all seven refineries and petroleum coke from Garyville and Robinson. |
