Gas-to-Fuels

As part of our search for new energy sources, Marathon is working on potential game-changing
technology to convert remote (or stranded) natural gas to liquid fuels.

This Marathon-proprietary gas-to-fuels (GTF) technology bypasses conventional intermediate syngas technology, which is relatively expensive and inefficient, to produce high-quality premium fuels and petrochemical feedstocks.  If successful, we'll be able to create easily transportable fuels, including gasoline and chemical feedstocks, for the world market.

And, the patented GTF technology produces less carbon dioxide than other gas-conversion processes. This could have a great impact in helping meet the world's increasing demand for environmentally friendly energy.
